Jairo H. Orjuela, President
Mr. Orjuela is a well respected leader in the information technologies (IT) field with broad experience in planning, deploying diverse technologies, and streamlining business processes. He has over twenty years of experience addressing customer requirements, both large and small, and managing the support of mission critical systems and applications. His unique perspective as both technologist and business owner, in additional to his skills managing large teams and organizational budgets, focuses his efforts on his clients’ requirements to maximize ROI. Currently, as the president of Spectracomm Inc., an IT integration business, Mr. Orjuela oversees operational aspects of clients’ IT needs; his “hands on” approach keeps Mr. Orjuela personally involved to ensure the success of many of Spectracomm’s projects. To enhance the company’s service offerings, he generated and implemented a plan to expand high-speed internet access solutions to the multiple dwelling unit (MDU), hospitality, and healthcare markets, and developed business continuity and disaster recovery services. Mr. Orjuela’s extensive and diverse background has developed from his technical, marketing and sales roles at Fortune 500 organizations such as Verizon, Chase Bank, Time Warner, and UB Networks (now part of Alcatel.) Mr. Orjuela holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from NYIT.
Al Tanskey, Director
Mr. Tanskey is an information technology/ telecommunications networking professional with extensive experience in planning, provisioning, operations, and support of complex corporate networks. In more than 14 years with Spectracomm, Mr. Tanskey has been a vital resource to many high profile clients, such as the Port Authority of NY/ NJ to plan, design, implement, integrate, and support their complex, mission critical networks. Prior to joining Spectracomm, Mr. Tanskey various managerial positions with NYNEX (now Verizon), included Director of the Corporate Information Network, Director of Network Planning, and Associate Director of Data Networking and Operations. Al has attended many advanced technical and management training programs in the many years he was employed by Verizon.
Rene Orjuela, Director
Mr. Orjuela is a detail oriented professional with more than 10 years of information technology experience as network engineer and information systems consultant. His expertise includes: MS Windows server deployments, upgrades, and migrations, VPN’s, firewalls, IP security, and large commercial wireless networks. Formerly with Verizon, Mr. Orjuela completed a four month assignment in India training large groups of technical support agents for Verizon’s On-Line DSL service and directed a team to deploy High Speed Internet Access to residential buildings in the New York and Boston markets. He holds a BS in Telecommunications from St. Johns University.
Paola Orjuela, Iternet Marketing
Ms. Orjuela is Results-driven Merchandise Planner with over 6 year s experience in managing a multi-million dollar business, recognized for consistently generating positive sales and margin results and partnering with buying counterparts to manage a profitable business. At Spectracomm Paola is a marketing specialist responsible for developing new Internet business programs. Prior to joining Spectracomm she was a Merchandise Planner for Macys.com, in New York. Prior to Macys, she also had similar roles at Alloy Merchandising in New York and Nine West Group in White Plains, NY. Paola has a BS degree in Merchandising and Management from FIT.
